Visual Development Art

I wanted to post something new but I haven't painted in a while. This piece is from a film project I worked on about 6 months ago.I have been swamped at work as well as freelance work.I am trying to make some extra money to replace my now DEAD computer. The Apple store guys were very interested in selling me a new Mac but not so helpful about fixing my current Mac. It may be time for a PC.

Hi Christopher, interesting to know what your day job is, I too am now bleary eyed trying to meet optimistic deadlines that all seem to fall together. Buy a PC, dirt cheap, powerful, all software is compatible, etc etc, my first system was a mac, my next one, bought a year later was 3 times a fast and cost half.

Ditto on the PC advice.
I own both. Each OS has its virtues and quirks. I have to laugh when I see Mac's smug little commercials. In the last 2.5 years, Macs have frustrated me with hardware/software issues much more frequently than PCs running XP. The iPod and iPhone are things of beauty, I'll give them that. However, for solid workhorse computing, get a PC.

My 2c
Cheers,
Jack

Music to my ears to hear creative people talking sensibly on the Mac vs. PC issue! I too had a Mac when I started getting into computer graphics because it seemed almost required. When I had to upgrade my system (before I wanted to) the cost issue pushed me over to "the dark side." Three years later I'm so glad I made the move!
