Hay 4 Sisyphus -

Daily Painting, Landscape, Hay Barrels, Hill, Tennessee Valley

8 x 10" oil on a canvas panel.
The task of rolling these hay barrels up the hill led me to the title, that and...
...the fact that I have past the 500th post on this blog, which means I have finally completed 500 daily plein air paintings. Not to pat myself on the back too much but, I am extremely proud of this achievement. Along with my plein air painting, I work full time and maintain a freelance illustration/animation business. Although it has often been exhausting, it has been a tremendous learning experience and loads of fun. One thing that I'm sure most of the daily painters have in common is family support. That is certainly the case for me, none of this would or could have happened without the loving support of Kathi and our 3 daughters who inspire everything.
Happy St. Valentines day to my family.

You're right about support. It makes such a difference to have it from our loved ones. Nice painting.

Congratulations! Love this painting. I am a sucker for the round bales.
You are an inspiration to those of us who have way more time in a day to paint. Appreciate hearing the shout out to your family too.

Congrats... you deserve a pat on the back...
I love this painting... it looks like east Texas... left a warm and fuzzy feeling and isn't that what art is all about?
