8x10 oil on a canvas panel.
I found this sculpted head in my file cabinet at work. I brought it home, put it on a paper plate on my work table, turned off all of the lights but one and began painting. I used a pretty minimal palette; Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, Cad Yellow Med., Ult. Blue, and a tiny bit of Cad. Red Med. This was a fun exercise.

Its very interesting to me to hear about your process when you paint. This is a wonderful painting with so much intensity and depth.
That's what I call getting creative...I have some porcelain dolls in a box...think I might try this lol ;) Love the lighting, the whole piece is interesting.
Interesting composition, and nice use of a limited pallet.
