Broken Silence

Daily Painting, Tree, Broken, Ohio Landscape, Rocky River, Metro Park,March,Oil Painting

24x30" oil on stretched canvas. I hike along this ridge above the river most mornings. I was attracted by the color of the raw broken wood against the gray background. It suggested violence in this peaceful spot and I wondered if anyone heard a sound when this tree fell.

I really like the story that this piece conveys. Nicely composed, great color combination... well done!

Hi there Christopher!...., Strange the impact of "ordinary" things which that we artists encounter along our seperate paths... which others completely miss!

Stranger still... the deeper resonance those "ordinary" things register in our deeper reaches of our thoughts....

And that those feelings are shared by "others" who travel similar paths... in very separate locations!

Ain't it wonderful? A gem of light ... mood and colour... with so much to be said... with so little!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
