Near and Far Hills 6"x6" oil

This is the first in a series of 4 paintings. I began shortly after 5pm and raced the sun. As each sketch was completed, I would turn the easel to find the next picture and begin again. This was fun and forced me to simplify and make very quick decisions. Best of all...I am 4 sketches closer to becoming the painter I want to be.
