Northeast View 6"x6" oil

The second of the series of sketches. There is a gravel road in to this farm and it is up and down steep hills. Both sides are fenced off with barbed wire. As I was painting I was treated to a chorus of cows moving up and over the hill. Way off in the distance there were mules and donkeys braying. You can't get that in the studio. I am convinced that there will come a time when I am able to infuse all of this stimuli into my painting, it's just a matter of practice and discipline...I hope!
