6x6 oil on masonite.
They lasted a week and gave me great pleasure. I enjoyed painting them and will be looking for more. This sketch was done very quickly. I was finally through with dinner and phone calls and the baseball game on TV when I began to think about painting. Sixty minutes later I was photographing this painting to post on my blog...UGH, my Time Warner internet was dead. Another hour on the phone and an appointment for Friday between 1-5
!!$#@%^&**!!!!!!!! :>{
I put my jpg file on a flash drive and took it to work with me.

Head On A Plate - SOLD
8x10 oil on a canvas panel.
I found this sculpted head in my file cabinet at work. I brought it home, put it on a paper plate on my work table, turned off all of the lights but one and began painting. I used a pretty minimal palette; Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, Cad Yellow Med., Ult. Blue, and a tiny bit of Cad. Red Med. This was a fun exercise.

Figure Two
14x11 oil on canvas panel.
This is my second try at painting from the model. Even though this is from the Thursday night figure painting group, it is the same model I painted with the Sunday afternoon group. I feel pretty good about the progress from the first to the second paintings and can clearly see some areas I need to focus on during the next attempt.

Figure One
11x14 oil on canvas panel.
I have been absent from blogging lately but, not from painting. I joined several figure drawing groups and figure painting groups and this is my first attempt with the Sunday painting group. What a struggle! I am determined to continue and hopefully learn and improve along the way.
