Approx. 7x11" gouache on paper. This is the small Italian neighborhood on the west side of Cleveland that is known as "Mini Italy", not to be confused with the bigger, more well known Little Italy on the east side of Cleveland. I had a great time painting in this exceptionally friendly neighborhood. I rarely do a drawing before painting but this subject had so much going on that I felt I needed a quick pencil drawing to help me get started. Once again, I used a very limited palette of; Deep Red,  Deep Yellow, Cobalt Blue and White. The brand of paints is Talens.  I am very pleased with the paint.

 8x10" oil on canvas panel. The weather was spectacular as I loaded up my bike and backpack. I packed a great lunch and headed off to the lake. This is the third of my paintings today, the end of a perfect day.

6x8" gouache on paper. I found these beautiful dark red/violet lilacs and paired them with yellow tomatoes and a couple of radishes that were left over from my lunch as the subject for a small gouache sketch.

9x12 oil on canvas panel. A bright, sunny and bitterly cold and windy day above Lake Erie. I lashed down my easel/tri pod with tent pegs and shivered my way through the painting and 12 mile bike ride to the lake and back. In the end, I am pretty well pleased with the results.

9x12" oil on canvas panel. Another bike and paint day. I found this little street with a great view of Lake Erie which is what I had planned to paint. As I was looking at the lake I heard a faint bark and then a small chorus of barks. I looked around and in a window above I saw 3 little dogs watching me as I watched them.
