Every morning my dog and I hike along a ridge and through the woods. This is one of my favorite spots.

Sunset Lake Glare
6x8" oil on canvas panel. Blinding light does simplify everything. I have a question; Do you like the frames around the paintings or do you find them distracting?

The Voyagers
8x10" oil on linen panel. While painting on the lake in June, this group of young people brought out this little boat and piled in. I was able to shoot a few photos. Today was gray and rainy and a perfect day for a reference photo.

Hogsback -
10x8" oil on canvas panel. I waited a long time for the road up the "Hogsback" to open.
Yesterday afternoon, I found it was. It is far to high for me to hike with all of my paint gear. This spot is at the top of the ridge...it's a very long and steep drop to the right of this trail. I really enjoyed the shade and the filtered light.

Reflected Light
8x8" oil on canvas panel. I stopped at the river late in the afternoon to paint. The Light was spectacular. As I searched for a subject i came across this tree in the shadows and was intrigued with the reflected light.

City on the Lake - SOLD
8x8" oil on canvas panel.
An afternoon in the park overlooking Lake Erie with the best view of the city. There were loads of people enjoying the breeze off the lake but none stood still long enough to be included in my painting.
The frame is another digital suggestion and not included in the purchase.

The Rivers Edge
8x6" oil on Linen Panel. I spent a few hours at the river today. I painted, ate lunch, played with my dog and painted two sketches. This is the second of my sketches.
I shot photos of the painting "in progress", but once I got into the painting...I forgot to continue with the photos.
The frame is a digital suggestion of how it might look on your wall.

Memorial Day
24x30 oil on canvas. I had to tie down the easel, there was a slight breeze and this large canvas was catching it like a sail.

A Quiet Afternoon - Daily Painting, Landscape, River, Reflections, Ohio
9x12 oil on canvas panel. This painting is from last week. I spent this week working around the house and yard. It has been exhausting catching up on chores that have been long neglected but very satisfying to see them done. The next few posts are paintings from last weekend.
