The Upstairs Office - Daily Painting, small town, brick building, blue awnings, sunlight and shadow
It must be interesting to work in this office overlooking the town green. Most of my studios have been in the basement. I'm sure that is one of the reasons I love plein air painting so much...the whole outdoors is my office. This painting is 9" x 12", oil on canvas panel.

Tall Tennessee Cotton - SOLDDaily Painting,Cotton field,Tennessee, late afternoon sunlight
A spectacular late afternoon alongside a cotton field. This dirt road leads down to the Elk River. My dog made it down to the river, I never did, the color of the late afternoon light stopped me in my tracks. I've been back several more times in the late afternoon and the light has been perfect each time. This painting is 9" x 12", oil on canvas panel.
