River Rocks - Rocky River, Metro Park, Tree, Spring Afternoon,Daily Painting
8x10" oil on canvas panel. It's always a great day when I'm in the woods or near the river. I had Maddie with me, we had a nice lunch and spent the whole afternoon painting and rambling. This is my idea of a perfect day. This painting is my second sketch.

Broken Silence Daily Painting, Tree, Broken, Ohio Landscape, Rocky River, Metro Park,March,Oil Painting
24x30" oil on stretched canvas. I hike along this ridge above the river most mornings. I was attracted by the color of the raw broken wood against the gray background. It suggested violence in this peaceful spot and I wondered if anyone heard a sound when this tree fell.

The Voyagers
8x10" oil on linen panel. While painting on the lake in June, this group of young people brought out this little boat and piled in. I was able to shoot a few photos. Today was gray and rainy and a perfect day for a reference photo.

Hogsback -
10x8" oil on canvas panel. I waited a long time for the road up the "Hogsback" to open.
Yesterday afternoon, I found it was. It is far to high for me to hike with all of my paint gear. This spot is at the top of the ridge...it's a very long and steep drop to the right of this trail. I really enjoyed the shade and the filtered light.

Reflected Light

City on the Lake - SOLD

An afternoon in the park overlooking Lake Erie with the best view of the city. There were loads of people enjoying the breeze off the lake but none stood still long enough to be included in my painting.
